One of the things I hear all the time is: “I don’t think I receive Guidance.”
And usually, when we start talking, I realize that isn’t actually true. What’s more often true is this: You are receiving. You just may not recognize the way it comes through.
A lot of people expect Guidance to be dramatic. A booming voice. A crystal-clear vision. A lightning bolt moment where there is absolutely no question what just happened.
Sometimes it is like that. But honestly? A lot of the time, it is much quieter.
It comes in quickly. Subtly. Almost casually.
And because it doesn’t arrive with a giant spiritual announcement, we dismiss it. We think: That was just me. I made that up. That was probably nothing.
So let’s make this really simple. Here are five ways Guidance may already be speaking to you.
1. You Just Know
Have you ever known something before you had any logical reason to know it?
You meet someone and immediately feel something is off.
You suddenly know you need to call someone.
You know a decision is right even though you cannot explain why.
There is no big story around it.
You just know.
This is one of the most common ways Guidance comes through.
The tricky part is that it can feel so natural that we completely miss it.
We think, Well, everybody does that.
Not necessarily.
That quiet knowing may be one of your strongest intuitive channels.
2. You Feel It in Your Body (this is me!)
For some people, Guidance arrives through sensation.
A tightening in the chest. A feeling of expansion. A pit in the stomach. Warmth. Goosebumps.
A sense of heaviness. A wave of calm.
You may notice your body responding before your mind has even caught up.
This is why learning your own energetic language matters so much.
Your body may be telling you: Yes. No. Pay attention. Slow down. This matters.
The challenge is learning the difference between intuition and anxiety, fear, old conditioning, or emotional activation. That discernment takes practice. But your body may be communicating with you far more than you realize.
3. You Hear a Word or Phrase
Some people receive Guidance as language. Not necessarily an audible voice in the room.
More often, it feels like a word or phrase simply appears in your mind. Sometimes the phrase feels different from your usual mental chatter.
Then, of course, five seconds later the mind usually joins the conversation. That second voice can get very loud. Which is exactly why I teach people to pay attention to the first message before the mental debate begins.
4. You See Images
You may close your eyes and suddenly see a face. A place. A color. A symbol. A memory.
Or perhaps an image flashes through your mind unexpectedly. This can be very subtle.
Sometimes people tell me, “Oh, I’m just imagining things.” And I always want to ask:
What if imagination is part of the language?
The question is not whether an image came through your mind. The question is what happens when you begin paying attention to the images that arrive repeatedly, unexpectedly, or with a particular energetic feeling attached to them. Over time, you start to recognize what feels random and what feels meaningful.
5. Something Keeps Getting Your Attention
This one is probably the most familiar. A certain word keeps showing up. You hear the same message from three different people. You keep seeing the same symbol or numbers. A book practically falls into your lap.
You think about someone and they call. You feel pulled toward something you cannot quite explain.
We often call these synchronicities. And yes, sometimes coincidence is just coincidence. But sometimes life keeps tapping you on the shoulder.
The key is not becoming obsessed with signs. It is learning to notice what consistently carries energy, relevance, and resonance for you.
The Part Most People Miss
Here is what I really want you to understand: Guidance is not always hard to receive.
Sometimes it is hard to trust. That is different.
You may be receiving a quiet knowing, a body sensation, a phrase, an image, or a repeated nudge and then talking yourself out of it almost immediately. That is where the real work begins. Not in trying to become more gifted. But in becoming more familiar with how Guidance already moves through you.
Over time, you start to recognize:
Oh. This is how it feels when I know.
This is how fear feels.
This is how Guidance sounds.
This is what happens when my mind takes over.
And once you begin to recognize your own intuitive language, everything starts to feel less mysterious.
You are no longer waiting for some dramatic spiritual experience to prove you are intuitive. You are learning how to notice what is already there.
So today, instead of asking: “Why am I not receiving?”
Try asking: “How might I already be receiving and dismissing it?”
That question can open a very different door.

A spiritual awakening is a profound initiation, often sudden and unexpected, where we awaken to previously hidden or unknown aspects of our life, world, and universe. Most people live in a kind of amnesia, believing the world is entirely physical and governed solely by matter, with no spiritual side at all.
A spiritual awakening occurs when the mind opens and becomes aware of something "more" beyond the mundane. This awakening typically sparks a quest for learning, leading to a ravenous need to read and explore spiritual and metaphysical subjects. This journey is nearly always pleasant and rewarding, with many avenues to explore and teachers to learn from.
The topic of spiritual awakening is broad, so let's break it down into the various stages one goes through on this journey of the soul. These stages can also serve as signs that you are experiencing an awakening.
The Wake-Up Call
A sudden realization that there is more to life than the physical world. This can be triggered by a significant life event, a personal crisis, or a moment of clarity.
The Search for Meaning
An intense curiosity about the nature of reality and a desire to understand spiritual concepts. This stage often involves reading books, attending workshops, and exploring different spiritual traditions.
Self-Discovery
A period of introspection where you begin to uncover your true self, stripping away societal conditioning and false beliefs. This stage can be both exhilarating and challenging as you confront your inner truths.
The Dark Night of the Soul
A phase of deep inner turmoil and confusion, where old beliefs and identities crumble. This can feel like a spiritual or existential crisis but is a necessary part of the awakening process.
Integration
Starting to integrate new insights and wisdom into your daily life. You begin to live more authentically, aligning your actions with your spiritual values.
Synchronicity and Guidance
Experiencing meaningful coincidences and feeling guided by a higher power. You become more attuned to the signs and messages from the universe.
Connection to All
A deep sense of interconnectedness with all life. You feel a strong bond with nature, other people, and the cosmos, understanding that everything is part of a greater whole.
Living Your Purpose
Feeling a strong sense of purpose and direction in your life. You start to contribute to the world in meaningful ways, using your unique talents and gifts.
Enlightenment
Achieving a state of inner peace, wisdom, and compassion. You live in harmony with yourself and the universe, fully awakened to your true nature.
Conclusion
These stages are not always linear and can be experienced in different orders or revisited multiple times. Spiritual awakening is a deeply personal journey, unique to each individual. Recognizing these stages can help you understand where you are on your path and provide reassurance that you are not alone in your experiences. Embrace the journey and allow yourself to grow and evolve spiritually.
