Many people are asking some version of this right now:
“What is happening in the world?”
Or even more honestly:
“Why do I feel like I’m going a little crazy?”
And honestly, I get it. There is a lot moving.
Collectively. Spiritually. Emotionally. Energetically. Politically. Personally.
Some days you may feel hopeful and inspired. Other days you may feel tired, unsettled, or like you can’t quite get your footing. Maybe old beliefs are being questioned.
Maybe a part of your life no longer feels like it fits. Perhaps you feel called toward change, but you don’t yet know what that change is supposed to look like. And when that happens, it’s natural to look around and ask, “What is going on out there?”
But I keep feeling there is a deeper question underneath that one, asking:
What is awakening in me because of this moment?
Because this is not a time to spiritually sleepwalk.
It’s not a time to numb out, coast, or hand all of our energy over to the noise around us. It’s a time to listen differently.
To notice what drains you.
To notice what restores you.
To notice where your energy is leaking.
To notice where you keep overriding yourself.
To notice where your soul keeps whispering, “There is more for you here.”
Your Longing Is Not Impractical
So many spiritually sensitive people carry a quiet ache for something deeper. I know I do.
Lately, I’ve been spending (a lot) more time in relationship with Spirit — asking, listening, and honestly sometimes almost demanding to be shown the deeper purpose in what is happening.
Not in a dramatic way.
Just in that very real human way of saying:
“Show me what this means. Show me where to stand. Show me how to serve. Show me what is mine to do.”
And the truth is, I’m also craving a deeper way of living.
A way that doesn’t feel so disconnected.
So distracted.
So surface-level.
Maybe you feel that too.
And yet, so often we dismiss that longing.
We tell ourselves we’re being unrealistic.
We tell ourselves we should just be grateful.
We tell ourselves there are too many practical things to handle first.
But what if that longing isn’t impractical?
What if it is your soul trying to get more of your attention?
What if the part of you that wants more meaning, more connection, more sacredness, and more truth is not the problem?
What if it’s actually the most honest part of you?
I don’t believe these deeper desires show up by accident.
Sometimes they arrive as restlessness.
Sometimes as a quiet knowing.
Sometimes as the feeling that something in your life no longer fits, even if you don’t yet know what comes next.
That doesn’t mean you have to burn your whole life down or make a dramatic change overnight.
But it does mean something in you is asking to be heard.
The World Is Loud — But Your Soul Still Knows How to Listen
Here’s the deal.
The more chaotic the outside world becomes, the more important it is that we learn how to live from the inside out.
Not from fear.
Not from reaction.
Not from the loudest headline, opinion, crisis, or collective emotion of the day.
But from the Sacred Heart.
From divine guidance.
From conscious choice.
From love instead of fear.
And no, this does not mean ignoring what is happening in the world.
It means not letting the world disconnect you from your center.
There is a difference between being informed and being consumed.
There is a difference between caring deeply and carrying everything.
There is a difference between compassion and absorption.
And for sensitive, empathic, intuitive people, that difference really matters.
You may feel the pain of the world.
You may sense the fear in the collective.
You may pick up energy that is not yours.
You may feel called to help, serve, heal, speak, or create.
But you are not here to become a sponge for the collective field.
You are here to become a clear presence.
A grounded presence.
A loving presence.
A Spirit-led presence.
What Is This Moment Asking of You?
Instead of only asking, “What is happening in the world?”
Try asking:
What is this moment asking me to become?
Is it asking you to become more honest?
More grounded?
More courageous?
More boundaried?
More devoted?
More creative?
More prayerful?
More willing to trust what you know?
Maybe this moment is asking you to stop leaking energy into places that no longer serve you.
Maybe it’s asking you to stop shrinking your gifts.
Maybe it’s asking you to stop waiting for permission.
Maybe it’s asking you to speak.
Maybe it’s asking you to rest.
Maybe it’s asking you to create the thing.
Maybe it’s asking you to make the call.
Maybe it’s asking you to set the boundary.
Maybe it’s asking you to join the circle, begin the practice, or finally admit what your soul has been trying to tell you for a long time.
We often think awakening should feel mystical or dramatic.
Sometimes it does.
But often, awakening looks very ordinary.
One honest choice.
One moment of telling the truth.
One decision to stop betraying your own knowing.
One breath where you return to your body and say:
“I am here. I am listening. I am willing.”
A Simple Practice for Listening Differently
Take a few minutes today and place one hand on your heart.
Let yourself breathe.
Then ask:
What is draining me right now?
Don’t judge the answer. Just listen.
Then ask:
What is restoring me right now?
Notice what your body says.
Then ask:
Where am I being called to create, speak, serve, heal, or lead in a new way?
Let the answer be simple.
You don’t need the full map.
You only need the next honest step.
And finally, ask:
What would it look like to choose from love instead of fear today?
That one question can change the energy of your whole day.
This Is Not a Time to Sleepwalk
This is not a time to spiritually sleepwalk.
It is a time to become more awake in your own life.
More awake to what you feel.
More awake to what your body is telling you.
More awake to what Spirit is whispering.
More awake to where fear has been leading.
More awake to where love is ready to lead instead.
The world may be uncertain.
But your soul is not without guidance.
The path may not be fully visible.
But the next step can still be revealed.
And the more you learn to live from the inside out, the less you need the outer world to be calm before you can feel connected, clear, and guided.
Your sensitivity is not a weakness.
Your longing is not impractical.
Your desire for something deeper is not a distraction from real life.
It may be the doorway into the life your soul is trying to help you remember.
So today, instead of only asking:
“What is happening in the world?”
Ask yourself:
What is awakening in me because of this moment?
And then listen.
Not with fear.
But with the Sacred Heart.
With divine guidance.
With conscious choice.
Sending you so much love,

A spiritual awakening is a profound initiation, often sudden and unexpected, where we awaken to previously hidden or unknown aspects of our life, world, and universe. Most people live in a kind of amnesia, believing the world is entirely physical and governed solely by matter, with no spiritual side at all.
A spiritual awakening occurs when the mind opens and becomes aware of something "more" beyond the mundane. This awakening typically sparks a quest for learning, leading to a ravenous need to read and explore spiritual and metaphysical subjects. This journey is nearly always pleasant and rewarding, with many avenues to explore and teachers to learn from.
The topic of spiritual awakening is broad, so let's break it down into the various stages one goes through on this journey of the soul. These stages can also serve as signs that you are experiencing an awakening.
The Wake-Up Call
A sudden realization that there is more to life than the physical world. This can be triggered by a significant life event, a personal crisis, or a moment of clarity.
The Search for Meaning
An intense curiosity about the nature of reality and a desire to understand spiritual concepts. This stage often involves reading books, attending workshops, and exploring different spiritual traditions.
Self-Discovery
A period of introspection where you begin to uncover your true self, stripping away societal conditioning and false beliefs. This stage can be both exhilarating and challenging as you confront your inner truths.
The Dark Night of the Soul
A phase of deep inner turmoil and confusion, where old beliefs and identities crumble. This can feel like a spiritual or existential crisis but is a necessary part of the awakening process.
Integration
Starting to integrate new insights and wisdom into your daily life. You begin to live more authentically, aligning your actions with your spiritual values.
Synchronicity and Guidance
Experiencing meaningful coincidences and feeling guided by a higher power. You become more attuned to the signs and messages from the universe.
Connection to All
A deep sense of interconnectedness with all life. You feel a strong bond with nature, other people, and the cosmos, understanding that everything is part of a greater whole.
Living Your Purpose
Feeling a strong sense of purpose and direction in your life. You start to contribute to the world in meaningful ways, using your unique talents and gifts.
Enlightenment
Achieving a state of inner peace, wisdom, and compassion. You live in harmony with yourself and the universe, fully awakened to your true nature.
Conclusion
These stages are not always linear and can be experienced in different orders or revisited multiple times. Spiritual awakening is a deeply personal journey, unique to each individual. Recognizing these stages can help you understand where you are on your path and provide reassurance that you are not alone in your experiences. Embrace the journey and allow yourself to grow and evolve spiritually.
